Would You Shop at a Mobile Boutique?

Please answer with your thoughts in the reply section below.

If you’ve read my last post I’m wondering if I’ve got you thinking more about Mobile Boutiques?

_

Question is….

If one were available in your area, would you shop at a gathering of Mobile Boutiques?

_

Imagine if you will…

…A collection of Mobile Boutiques on a Saturday morning in that empty lot in your town. One to get your Saturday morning coffee and a pastry with cafe chairs and tables along side(I would ride my bike to enjoy this!), one to find that gift for that baby or wedding shower you’re going to next Saturday, one for that scarf you’ve been wanting for your new spring outfit you just bought, one for that vintage item you’ve been looking for all year, Then…get this… have lunch at the Sandwich or Pizza Camper when you’re done.

I could go on and on!!

I know it’s not a new idea, I’ve done my research,

but Mobile Boutiques would be a new idea in my area.

Below are some other ideas for Mobile Boutiques from my Pinterest page.

(I’m not gonna leave a link for each photo but know that each photo is linked to my Pinterest for you to look into its origin.)

The endless ideas for shops just amazes me. I actually haven’t gotten mine narrowed down yet but I’ve got ideas.

From food trucks to retail to even a salon in a camper. How about a place to get a mani-pedi? Wow!

All are doable.

I think it’s just a funky idea and I want to see it through.

Hope you enjoyed this post and all my CrAzY ideas!

well duh! of course I would. I am very intriqued by this whole idea. How do you set up in an empty parking lot for instance? How often? What overhead is involved? Peddlers License needed? So many questions!

So I just wanted you to know that you’re little “dream” has started a whole new movement here n Colorado Springs, CO. Why? Here’s my quick little story…..
I am a veteran buyer and seller of vintage items (25 years and counting). I met Candy & Courtney of Storage Wars NY this summer and saw their “banana van”. When I returned home, I got the idea to renovate a vintage camper to sell out of – thinking my idea was original – HA! When I started researching converted campers, I came across your website and your little imaginary story. I fell deeply in love with your idea. As I was returning home from the hardware store, I noticed a converted step van with the words “Bridal Boutique on Wheels” painted on the side. I thought “could this be??? Is there maybe another mobile retailer in my town? Can this idea actually come together?”. I contacted her that day and we’ve become inseparable since! I showed her your website and idea and she loved it as well. We then contacted a local bakery that has converted a small bus in a pastry on wheels type of vending who has agreed to join us, and have created a group on Meetup.com looking for more interested people. We’ve met with the city to learn of our possibilities. It’s been a lot of work, but so much fun. We haven’t “debuted” yet, but we’re looking to have at least one gathering before the Christmas season. My own website, where you can see the renovation, is http://www.verified-vintage.com/the-renovation-project.html. You have carte blanche to any of our stations as soon as we have it running – if you ever get to Colorado Springs. Thank you for sharing your “Dream” – just letting you know that sometimes we can touch other’s lives in ways we didn’t think mattered. Thank you for being my inspiration.

      Corinne,
I’m SUPER excited for you!!! You’re so much farther then me in my dream. I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through you and your ViVi for a bit. (love her name btw!) I have some hurdles to pass through before I can even get going on renovations with Claravana. Mainly a place to house her during the reno. (Very long story!) It’s been a process. We’ll get there!
So, I’m writing this on Tues….how was your first debut on Sunday? (I read your blog) Hope it went well!
Just so you know, I may just take you up on your invitation…I’ve been known to just take off cross country to meet my new friends! Went this summer to WA to see Kimberly from Walla Walla Valley Mobile Boutiques. Although she is no longer in business with Carovana I still had a fabulous time visiting and learning how she started in the Mobile Boutique Business. Plus, I’ve made a forever friend! I actually think Kimberly and I are related somehow beings how alike we are. We stay in touch on a regular basis. Love her!
Thanks for sharing your story with me! Love it!!
I’m gonna write to you by email… want to talk more!

Thank you so much for your site! I love the ideas for mobile “dreams”, boutiques and business ventures! I can’t wait to share this with my sister — for our retiring fun ways to enjoy our past times together! I am anxious to find out where I can visit one too.

I'd love for you to comment on this post
